This year marks the 7th CWME and it is a distinctive, influential, and profitable exposition, with a growing sphere of influence. It is the largest professional Chinese exposition in the machinery and electronics industry.

The objectives of this years CWME are to further strengthen the cooperation between domestic and foreign enterprises, and the attraction of foreign investment. During the course of the exposition, a series of activities will be held such as large technology exchange seminars, summit meetings of the machinery and electronic industries, advanced forums, transnational purchasing, project recommendation meetings, business talks and so on. All of those will provide an open conversation space and multifunctional stage to improve the level of the machinery and electronics manufacturing industry, develop exports, and promote international conversation and exchange.

Over the past six years more than 500 overseas companies, manufacturers from over 30 countries, and more than 2,000 domestic machinery and electronics enterprises have been represented at the CWME, and it has been attended by over 80,000 professional businessmen and over 500,000 visitors. Companies involved include Mitsubishi, Siemens, Emerson, Honda, Alcatel, Kawasaki, Hitachi, China Mobile, GE, Omron, Wuhan Iron & Steel Group etc

This year's CWME is to be the largest yet, with an exposition area of 30,000m2 with approximately 1,500 standard booths. It will be held at the Wuhan International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
